DOWNTOWN. The mission of Maryland Art Place is to nurture new artists and to promote art in all its forms in an effort to enrich the lives of both the artist and the public. To fulfill this mission, this nonprofit center hosts many works by up and coming artists from the surrounding area, along with shows by more established artists. For a unique experience, head downstairs to the basement for the performance art shows that are sometimes held here. NB Admission fees may apply during special events.
